OMAHA, Neb. – The UNO/Community arena has been quickly taking shape at 67th and Center Streets, and the latest edition of Maverick Minutes gets another look inside the project.
Host Dave Ahlers speaks with Steve Gustwiller, the project manager for Kiewit, about the on-going work on the section of the arena that will house the community rink and about the work being done to ready the site for much of the steel to be erected for the main arena. Some of the steel for the main arena is already in place, and viewers will be able to get a first look at what one end of the bowl will look like.
Maverick Minutes is a monthly look at Omaha Athletics and features regular updates on the arena project as it moves toward completion in the fall of 2015. The next episode will take an early look at the finishes that are being considered for the building as well as an update on construction progress.
