Arena Update, Soccer in June's Maverick Minutes

OMAHA, Neb. – The latest episode of Maverick Minutes takes a look at the construction progress of the new UNO/community arena.
Host Dave Ahlers speaks with Kiewit Project Manager Steve Gustwiller about current progress and the intricate task of erecting the roof trusses for the building which will begin in August.
Also in this month's episode, Ahlers speaks to men's soccer head coach Jason Mims about the on-going World Cup, the recent FIFA 2-Star classification for Caniglia Field and the upcoming season on the pitch, the first full seasons for both the men's and women's teams at Caniglia Field.
Maverick Minutes is a monthly look at Omaha Athletics and features regular updates on the arena project as it moves toward completion in the fall of 2015. Due to scheduling conflicts, this month's episode was not able to include an update on finishes in the new arena as previously noted. That update will be provided later in the year.
