Ahrens Sets High Jump Mark at Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. – Stephanie Ahrens set a school record in the high jump on the final day of competition at the Holiday Inn Invitational at Nebraska on Saturday.
Ahrens posted a mark of 5-10 ¾, besting the previous mark of 5-10 which she tied back in December at Kansas State. She finished third in the event.
The Mavericks finished seventh in the eight-school team standings with 23 points. Host Nebraska won with 188 points followed by South Dakota (123) and Iowa State (69).
Also on Saturday, the Mavericks took seventh in the distance medley. The team of Catherine Davison, Alyssa Thavenet, Ashley Kildow and Kristin Rogers posted a time of 12:44.02.
The Mavericks return to action on Saturday, Jan. 24 at South Dakota State.
