Mavs Shine At Jack Jennett Invite

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Omaha Mavericks took first place in five events at the Jack Jennett Invitational at Northern Iowa on Friday.
Senior Terri Armstrong took first in the 60 meters with a personal best time of 7.80. Armstrong also won the 200 meters with a time of 26.28.
In the 400 meters, freshman Maddie Buller took second place with a time of 59.65.
Senior Ashley Kildow ran the 600 meters in 1:39.39, earning her first place.
In the 3,000 meter run, senior Kristin Rogers crossed the finish line first with a time of 10:48.54.
In field events, freshman Stephanie Ahrens won the high jump with a jump of 5-5 3/4.
In the long jump, freshman Noni Henderson jumped a personal best 17-10, earning her third place.
A pair of Mavericks placed in the weight throw. Sophomore Megan Adams had a throw of 45-2 ½ earning her fifth place, and freshman Lauren Doeschot placed eighth with a mark of 43-3.
Sophomore Amanda Conlin set a personal best in the shot put with a mark of 43-1, good for third place.
The Mavericks return to action on Saturday, Feb. 7 at the USD Alumni Meet at Vermillion, S.D.
