
Knipfer, Stepp Sweep Weekly League Honors

OMAHA, Neb. -- Omaha swept the Summit League's weekly swimming & diving conference awards on Tuesday, as senior Miranda Knipfer was named Diver of the Week and junior Morgan Stepp was honored as Swimmer of the Week for their performances Oct. 26 to Nov. 1, it was announced Tuesday.
Knipfer earned her second career Diver of the Week award following a gutsy performance at Iowa State. The Millard South graduate posted a season-high mark in the one-meter (238.19) en route to a second-place finish. Her score in the one-meter moves Knipfer into fifth-place on the league's season top-ten list. Knipfer also added a third-place finish in the three-meter dive, penciling in a score of 247.87.
Stepp collected her third career Swimmer of the Week award after placing in the top two in every event she competed at Iowa State. The Parker, Colo., product recorded season-low times in three events: 200 IM, 200 back, 200 breast. Stepp earned an individual victory in the 200 IM with a time of 2:08.62, the sixth-best time in the league this year. She also added two second-place finishes in the 200 back (2:11.52) and 200 breast (2:26.77), both top-ten times in The Summit League this season.
