Foiles, Renshaw Repeat On Academic All-Summit Team

OMAHA, Neb. – A pair of Omaha swimmers, senior Jenna Foiles and junior Natalie Renshaw, were named to the Summit League's Academic All-League Swimming & Diving Team, the conference office announced Monday.
Foiles, from Albuquerque, N.M., earned her third consecutive academic all-league award with a cumulative 3.98 grade-point average in elementary education. Foiles finished her Maverick career at the Summit League Championships last month, earning All-Summit recognition with medals in the 400 freestyle relay and 800 freestyle relay. She is a member of the Summit League's Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll and Distinguished Scholars List, as well as the UNO Chancellor's List and Dean's List.
Renshaw, a biology major out of Millard North, picked up her second straight academic all-league nod and has compiled a cumulative 3.94 GPA. She capped her junior season with three All-Summit accolades at the Summit League Championships, medaling in the 50 freestyle, 400 freestyle relay and 800 freestyle relay.
Since joining the Summit League in 2012-13, Omaha's swimming & diving program has seen its student-athletes garner a total of five Academic All-Summit honors.
To be eligible for The Summit League Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions. The men's and women's swimming and diving all-league teams are made up of the 10 student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
