Krieser, Peters Named Academic All-League

ELMHURST, Ill. – Senior golfers Karl Krieser and Sophie Peters were named to the Summit League Academic All-League team on Wednesday.
It's the third such award for Krieser while Peters was honored for the first time.
Krieser, who has a 3.81 GPA in bioinformatics, led Omaha with a 75.3 stroke average. He recorded three top-five finishes and carded the top two rounds in school history with a 67 on March 23 and a 69 on April 13. Krieser also set the school's 54-hole scoring record with a 214 in March.
Peters had a 3.82 GPA in biology. She had a team-best stroke average (79.18) and recorded the team's lone individual medalist finish with a 36-hole school record score of 144 at the Red Rocks Invitational in February.
To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions. The men's and women's golf academic all-league teams are made up of the five student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
