Four Mavericks Named WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Four members of the Omaha women's golf team were named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association on Monday.
Juniors Katie Kesti and Makenna Kroeker, senior Sophie Peters and freshman Megan Vetrovsky all made the list of 758 NCAA golfers recognized nationwide. The criteria for selection to the team are some of the most stringent in college athletics. Scholars must carry a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50.
Peters and Kesti are now three-time members of the team while Kroeker made the list for the second time in her career.
Peters, Kesti, Vetrovksy and Kroeker ranked 1-4 in scoring respectively for the Mavericks this season, the last of their four-year reclassification to Division I. The Mavericks finished sixth in the Summit League Championship in April.
