Mavericks Run At Nebraska This Weekend

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha cross country returns to action this weekend at the Woody Greeno Nebraska Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19. The meet begins at 10 a.m. at Pioneers Park in Lincoln.
This is just the second meet of the season for the Mavericks. They opened the 2015 campaign with a third-place finish at the Augustana Twilight on Sept. 4.
Karo Garcia led the Mavericks with a top-10 finish. She came in ninth with a time of 17:42.00, 10 seconds faster than her previous best for three miles.
Rosie Gensichen was second for the Mavs and 19th overall with a time of 18:20.60, almost 11 seconds ahead of teammate Alyssa Averhoff who was 25th overall in a time of 18:31.40.
Perla Gutierrez was fourth for UNO and came in 28th with a time of 18:47.60, and Avery Schmidt finished the scoring for the Mavericks with a time of 19:16.10, putting her 31st.
Following the race at Nebraska, the Mavericks will have another week off before traveling to Brookings, S.D. for the SDSU Classic on Saturday, Oct. 3.
