
Mavericks Post Successful Semester In Classroom

OMAHA, Neb. – UNO student-athletes posted a cumulative grade point average of 3.318 for the recently completed fall semester.
During the fall of 2015, 216 of UNO's 284 student-athletes – 76 percent – achieved a GPA of 3.0 or higher. In addition, 135 student-athletes or 47 percent made either the Dean's List (3.5 GPA or higher) or the Chancellor's List (4.0).
The volleyball led all UNO teams with a GPA of 3.741 during the fall and had 73 percent of its roster on the Dean's or Chancellor's List. Women's tennis was second with a 3.623 team GPA while women's golf was third (3.612).
Hockey had the best men's team GPA at 3.430.
This is the seventh straight semester that the Mavericks have posted an all student-athlete GPA of 3.3 or higher. In two of those semesters, the Mavs had a GPA above 3.4 including a school-best all student-athlete mark of 3.429 in the spring of 2014.
