
Mavs Finish Regular Season at SDSU, Kansas

OMAHA, Neb. - The Omaha swimming & diving team hits the road this weekend for a pair of meets to close out the 2015-16 regular season. On Friday, Omaha makes the 215-mile trip north to Brookings, S.D., taking on conference foe South Dakota State at 6 p.m. UNO then has a quick turnaround, as the team will journey to Lawrence, Kan., for Saturday's meet at Kansas. The event will be streamed live on ESPN3 and TWC. Links to the live stream will be available on OMavs.com.
Series Histories
Omaha and SDSU will meet for the seventh time Friday evening at HPER Center Pool. The Mavericks hold a 4-2 all-time record against the Jackrabbits, with SDSU taking the last meeting on Nov. 15, 2014 in Omaha, 159.5-140.5.
The Mavericks meet Big 12 opponent Kansas for the ninth time Saturday at Robinson Natatorium. Kansas holds an 8-0 all-time record against Omaha, with the last meet on Oct. 13, 2014 going to the Jayhawks 99-41.
Last Time Out: Mavs Win Grinnell Invite After Dominating Weekend
Omaha continued its dominance at the Grinnell Invitational Saturday, winning the team event portion with a combined total of 1192.5 points for the weekend.
Natalie Renshaw sparked the Mavs, earning two individual event victories on the night. The senior finished atop the field in both the 100 breast (1:09.13) and the 200 back – tackling a season-best time of 2:04.77.
Record Breakers
Omaha has had a record breaking year in the pool, as four different Mavericks have combined to smash four school records. Junior Morgan Stepp has individually set two new records, but the Parker, Colo., native has also been a part of the other two recording setting relay quartets.
