
Four Mavericks Garner All-Summit Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. – Four Omaha swimmers -- senior Natalie Renshaw, junior Morgan Stepp, sophomore Cassie Jahn and freshman Kylie Vermeire -- were named to the All-Summit League Team, the conference office announced Tuesday. To qualify, student-athletes must have finished in the top three of an event at the 2016 Summit League Championships held Feb. 17-20 in Indianapolis, Ind.
Renshaw, Stepp, Jahn and Vermeire were selected All-Summit for their performance in the 800 free relay event at the conference meet. The quartet medaled, placing third with a season-best time of 7:31.35.
In addition, Stepp garnered all-league honors in the 200 fly. The Parker, Colo., native medaled by placing third en route to a school-record time of 2:01.84.
Renshaw caps her Maverick career with eight All-Summit awards. Stepp now has five all-league nods, while Jahn has racked up three and Vermeire earns her first such honor.
In total, a combined 77 student-athletes, 41 men and 36 women, were named to the two teams.
