CARBONDALE, Ill. – The Omaha women's golf team is in 10th place after the first round of the 2016 Saluki Invitational.

The Mavericks shot a team score of 323 over the first 18 holes at the Hickory Ridge Golf Course. The final round of the 36-hole event begins Monday at 9 a.m.

Host Southern Illinois leads after the first round with a score of 303. Austin Peay and William Woods are tied for second at 304.

Katie Kesti paced the Mavericks on the first day with a score of 74, tying her own team season low. She's tied for third in the field of 90 golfers.

Megan Vetrovsky was second for UNO and tied for 22nd overall with a score of 78. Mandy Boyle shot 83 to put her third for the Mavericks and in a tie for 49th overall.

Jordan York carded a round of 88 to sit in a tie for 70th while Makenna Kroeker shot 92 to put her in a tie for 77th.

Morgan Miller, playing as an individual, shot 87 to sit in a tie for 66th place.
