Mavericks Remain Eighth After Two Rounds at Summit

NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. – The Omaha women's golf team shaved 10 strokes off its first-round score but remains eighth after the second day of the Summit League Championship.
The Mavericks shot a team score of 318 on day two to sit at 646 for the 54-hole tournament. Denver continues to lead with a two-over-par team score of 578. Oral Roberts is a distant second at 618, one stroke ahead of South Dakota State and South Dakota which are tied at third.
Megan Vetrovsky and Jordan York tied for the low round of the day with matching scores of 76. Vetrovsky is tied for ninth in the 45-player field at 153 over the first 36 holes while York is 30th at 161.
Makenna Kroeker, Katie Kesti and Mandy Boyle all carded scores of 83 on Tuesday. Kroeker is third for UNO and 35th overall at 165, putting her two strokes ahead of Kesti who is 37th. Boyle has a total score of 170 to sit in a tie for 39th.
The final round of the championship is Wednesday at 8 a.m. at ArborLinks.
