MURRAY, Ky. – The Omaha women's golf team sits in 11th place following the first 36 holes of the Jan Weaver Invitational at Murray State.
The Mavericks shot team rounds of 340 and 329 for a total score of 689 in cold and windy conditions at the Miller Memorial Golf Course. Murray State leads the event with a score of 619, five strokes ahead of Morehead State in second. Xavier is third at 626.
Megan Vetrovsky leads the Mavericks in scoring with rounds of 81 and 82 for a total of 163 that has her in a tie for 32nd in the 76-player field.
Katie Kesti is two strokes back at 165 with rounds of 83 and 82. She's in a tie for 42nd overall. Mandy Boyle carded rounds of 87 and 80 for a score of 167 that puts her in a tie for 48th.
Jordan York shot a total score of 174 that included rounds of 89 and 85 to put her 62nd overall. Makenna Kroeker finished the scoring for the Mavericks with a total of 178 that has her in 67th.
The final round begins Saturday at 7:30 a.m. CT.
