Five Mavericks Named WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Five members of the Omaha women's golf team were named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association on Tuesday.
Seniors Katie Kesti and Makenna Kroeker, sophomore Megan Vetrovsky and freshmen Mandy Boyle and Jordan York all made the list. To do so, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.5 grade-point average and compete in at least half of the team rounds during the season.
Kesti made the list each year of her career while Kroeker is a three-time member of the list and Vetrovsky made the list last year as a freshman.
Kesti majored in neuroscience while Kroeker was a physical therapy major. Vetrovsky is majoring in pharmacy, and Boyle and York are both majoring in business.
In all, 828 student-athletes nationwide were honored by the WGCA.
