
Mavericks Ready For Play at DePaul

OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's golf team returns to action at the John Dallio Memorial hosted by DePaul on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 19-20.
The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and finish with 18 on Tuesday. Play begins each day at 8 a.m. from the Ruffled Feathers Golf Club in Lemont, Ill.
The Mavericks are coming off a seventh-place finish in their first event of the fall season at the UNO Invitational, Sept. 3-4 at Arbor Links.
Kevin Gordon led Omaha and finished in a tie for second overall with an even-par score of 216 that featured a final round of three-under 69.
Ben Maskus was second on the team and finished in a tie for seventh overall with a score of 220. Mitch Ryan was third for the Mavericks and tied for 26th with a score of 230.
Freshman Kelly Brown posted a 54-total of 242 that included a final round of 85. He finished in a tie for 40th. Fellow freshman Max Hellstrom concluded the scoring for the Mavericks with a score of 244.
Sam Musch, playing as an individual, shot his best score in the last round, 76, to finish at 242.
Following play at DePaul, the Mavericks will compete in the Derek Dolenc Invitational at SIUE, Sept. 26-27.
