Mavericks Come In Eighth In Preseason Poll

ELMHURST, Ill. – The Omaha women's golf team has been picked eighth in the annual Summit League preseason coaches' poll.
The Mavericks received 16 points in the voting, coming in just behind IUPUI (22) and ahead of Fort Wayne (9).
Denver was chosen to win the Summit League Championship for a third straight year, earning eight first-place votes and 64 points total. South Dakota State got the other first-place votes and finished with 57 points. Oral Roberts came in third with 50 points. The complete poll is below.
Last year, the Mavericks finished eighth in the Summit Championship. Through the fall season, the Mavericks rank eighth in the Summit with a stroke average of 318.9.
The Mavericks begin their spring season at the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic in South Carolina on Feb. 26-28. The Summit League Championship will be held at ArborLinks in Nebraska City on April 23-25.
