Methodist/UNO Mini-Triathlon Set for Aug. 26

OMAHA, Neb. -- The annual Methodist Hospital/UNO Women's and Girls' Mini-Triathlon benefiting the Omaha swimming & diving program is set for Saturday, Aug. 26.
The event will be held at Wehrspann Lake/Chalco Hills Recreation Area (8901 South 154th Street in Omaha). Check-in begins at 7 a.m., with a mandatory event meeting at 7:50 a.m. The first group of participants will start at 8 a.m.
Competitors will swim 100 yards, bike two, four or six miles, then walk or run one-half mile, one mile or one-and-a-half miles. In case of poor weather conditions, the event may be modified or delayed, but it will not be cancelled.
The non-refundable entry fee is $25 with t-shirt included, and checks may be made payable to the Mav Women's Club. Late and race-day registration is $35. Entries must be postmarked by Aug. 16 and mailed to UNO Swim Team, 6001 Dodge Street, Omaha, NE, 68182.
