Clinton Garners Second Weekly Honor This Season

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Senior Annika Clinton earned her second Summit League Diver of the Week honor, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Clinton, who already earned a berth to the NCAA Diving Zone cuts in the first meet of the season, capped off the weekend with an event victory and a trio of runner-up finishes.
In the win at Western Illinois, she won the 1-meter dive with a score of 226.41 and finished runner-up with a score of 215.63 for the 3-meter dive. The next day, she followed up with two runner-up finishes for her best scores of the weekend with a 258.00 in the 1-meter dive and a 272.17 in the 3-meter dive at Illinois State.
The Mavericks continue action with a pair of meets ahead. The swimmers head to Topeka, Kan., at the Kansas Classic Nov. 16-18, while the divers compete in Iowa City, Iowa, at the Hawkeye Invite Nov. 15-17.
