Clinton Named Academic All-Summit

OMAHA, Neb. -- Junior Annika Clinton was named to the Summit League's Academic All-League Swimming & Diving Team, the conference office announced Thursday.
Clinton, a journalism and media communication major from Minnetonka, Minn., earned her first academic all-league award and has compiled a cumulative grade-point average of 3.67. She was an All-Summit selection in the 1-meter dive at this year's Summit League Championship. In the classroom, Clinton is a member of the Summit League's Academic Honor Roll and Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence and a member of the UNO Dean's List.
Since joining the Summit League in 2012-13, Omaha's swimming & diving program has seen its student-athletes garner a total of eight Academic All-Summit honors.
To be eligible for the Summit League Academic All-League Team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of her team's competitions. The men's and women's swimming & diving all-league teams are made up of the 10 student-athletes receiving the most votes with all ties standing.
