Mavericks Institute Clear Bag Policy

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha Athletics announced today that it will begin a clear bag policy for events at Baxter Arena beginning this season.
"It was important that we match our peers both locally and regionally with a clear bag policy to help us protect patrons of Baxter Arena," said Mike Kemp, associate athletic director who also serves as general manager of the arena. "This policy will apply to all Maverick athletic events as well as concerts and other ticketed events that we host."
Under the new policy, a bag taken to any ticketed event at Baxter Arena must be a transparent plastic, vinyl or PVC tote. Bags must be no larger than 12 inches tall by 12 inches long by 6 inches wide. Guests also may bring opaque small or clutch-sized purses/wallets not exceeding 4.5 inches tall by 6.5 inches long after proper security screening.
"We realize that there may be some adjustments with the institution of this new policy," added Kemp. "We will make every effort to educate fans before they come to the arena, and we ask for patience as fans learn the new rules."
