OMAHA, Neb. – The Omaha men's golf team will play its second tournament of the fall when it competes in the Derek Dolenc Invitational at SIUE on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 24-25.

The 54-hole event at the Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Ill. begins with 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday beginning at 8:15 a.m. each day. The Mavericks will be one of 17 teams in the tournament.

The Mavericks are coming off a 17th-place finish at the Ram Masters Invitational hosted by Colorado State last week. Senior Cole Christain led the team with a 54-hole score of 222. He finished in a tie for 58th in the 96-player field.

Witchayapat Sinsrang (225/T-67th), Nick Kagy (230/T-82nd) and Thirawat Chantrakantanond (233/T-90th) also scored for the Mavericks.

Following play in Illinois, the Mavericks will be back in-state for The Jackrabbit hosted by South Dakota State. The tournament will be held at The Prairie Club in Valentine on Sunday-Tuesday, Sept. 30-Oct. 2.
