Omaha Wraps Up First Day of Graduate Classic

LINCOLN, Neb. – The Omaha track and field team wrapped up the first day of the Graduate Classic at the University of Nebraska.
"We had some people come out and really surprise us," said head coach Chris Richardson. "It has been a hard week of practice and we were expecting tired legs. We'll now get some good rest and get back at it tomorrow."
The opening day was highlighted by Brekk Flax's personal best of 8.02 seconds in the 60-meter dash, where she finished ninth.
Anna Edet narrowly missed her own school record by three and a half inches finishing sixth in the weight throw. She recorded a distance of 17.83 meters (58'6").
In the high jump, Sidney Radziunas jumped a season best of 1.55 meters (5"1') to take fifth in the unseeded event.
