LINCOLN, Neb. – The Omaha track and field program concluded the final day of the Graduate Classic at the University of Nebraska Saturday afternoon.

In the high jump, Stephanie Ahrens took second with a height of 5'9.25" (1.76m), which marks the best in The Summit League thus far.

On her second day of competing at the Graduate Classic, Brekk Flax just missed her personal best with a time of 8.04 seconds in the 60-meter dash. Her result earned her just outside of the top-10 in 13th.

Sophia Kirwan notched the second-best time of her career in the 200-meter dash. Her performance put her in 15th after she ran a 26.93 in the event.

In the 1,000-meter run, Anita Jenkins posted a top-5 result, finishing fifth with a time of 3:05.42, while Emily Johnson tallied an eighth-place result in the mile (5:16.29).

Anna Edet notched a top-10 effort in the weight throw after she totaled a distance of 58'6" (17.83 meters) and finished sixth.

"We know that we have more work to do, but we'll take the performances from this weekend and built upon them for the coming weeks," said head coach Chris Richardson.

The Mavericks return to action Saturday, Jan. 19, where they will travel to the Jim Emmerich Invitational at South Dakota State. The meet is set for a start time of noon in Brookings, S.D.
