Mavericks Picked Seventh in Preseason Poll

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Omaha women's golf team has been picked to finish seventh in the annual preseason poll of the Summit League's head coaches.
The Mavericks received 17 points in the voting, finishing just ahead of Purdue Fort Wayne and behind league newcomer North Dakota.
Denver was chosen to win the Summit League Championship, receiving 64 points and eight first-place votes. South Dakota State was chosen second (55 points), and Oral Roberts was picked third (51, one first-place vote). The full poll is below.
The Mavericks finished seventh in the 2018 Summit Championship.
Omaha's Jordan York was listed as a "Player to Watch" in the Summit League this season. The senior from Scottsbluff, Neb. led the Mavericks in scoring during the fall with a stroke average of 78.6. She led the Mavericks in scoring in three of the five tournaments they played.
The Mavericks open the season at the Ball State Sunshine Invitational at Dade City, Fla. on Feb. 7-8.
