Three Mavericks Garner Academic All-League Recognition

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Three Omaha swimmers earned spots on The Summit League All-Academic team, announced Monday morning.
To be eligible for the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale), completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions.
Rachel Morrow and Anna Capoun notched their first-career honor, while Annika Clinton garnered the award as a diver. They are three of the 10 total women who were selected for the All-Academic team.
Morrow is a junior from Katy, Texas who is majoring in business administration with a 3.64 cumulative GPA. This season, she earned top-3 performances in four events at The Summit League Championships. Her efforts garnered All-Summit honors in the 800 and 200 free relays as well as the 400 free and medley relays.
Capoun, an Omaha native and studio art major, compiled a 3.85 GPA. She notched All-Summit honors this season in the 800, 200 and 400 free relays at the championships.
Lastly, Clinton's honor marked the second-straight for her career. She recently wrapped up the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships in Austin, Texas, where she qualified in the season-opener against Northern Iowa back on Oct. 5, 2018.
