Mavericks Unveil 2019-20 Swimming and Diving Schedule

OMAHA, Neb. – Omaha swimming and diving head coach Todd Samland announced the 2019-20 schedule on Friday.
This year's campaign features 12 events throughout the regular season, including three home dates.
"This schedule makes us stretch to be competitive and successful," said Samland. "We have a few top-end challenges and our rival meets will make us competitive this season. This mix is vital to help up make strides to challenge for our conference championship meet and postseason opportunities."
Omaha opens the season hosting the Midwest Shootout on Oct. 12 before venturing to Ames, Iowa to take on Iowa State on Oct. 25.
The Mavericks open Summit League competition hosting Western Illinois on Nov. 1 before traveling to back-to-back road contests at South Dakota State and Sioux Falls on Nov. 8 and 9.
The Omaha divers head to Houston, Texas for the Houston Diving Invitational on Nov. 21-23 while the swimmers travel to the Kansas Classic for a three-day event in Topeka, Kan. from Nov. 22-24.
The Mavericks welcome South Dakota for the final action at home on Jan. 17 before competing at Nebraska on Jan. 18 and Northern Iowa on Jan. 25.
The divers compete in a one-day event at UIC on Feb. 1 before the Mavericks close out the regular season at the Jackrabbit Invitational on Feb. 7-8 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The Summit League Championships take place in Sioux Falls, S.D. from Feb. 19-22, followed by the CSCAA National Invitational Championships March 12-14 in Cleveland, Ohio. The NCAA Championships are scheduled for March 18-21.
