Mavericks Selected Third in Summit League Preseason Poll

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Omaha swimming and diving program was picked to finish third in The Summit League Preseason Poll, the league office announced Tuesday.

The Mavericks tallied 17 points while the Denver Pioneers were selected first for the seventh consecutive year with 25 points and five first-place votes.

Last season, the Mavericks finished third at The Summit League Championships with 615 total points while head coach Todd Samland garnered Summit League Swimming and Diving Coach of the Year honors for the second straight season.

Senior Rachel Morrow and freshman Caroline Gardner were selected to The Summit League Swimmers and Divers to Watch List.

Omaha opens the 2019-20 campaign hosting the Midwest Shootout on Saturday, Oct. 12 at the H&K Pool.
