SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Omaha men's golf team has been picked to finish fifth in the annual pre-season Summit League coaches' poll.
The Mavericks received 34 points in the voting, falling just ahead of South Dakota State (33) and just behind South Dakota (41).
Denver was picked to repeat as Summit League champions, garnering seven first-place votes and 62 points total. North Dakota State was picked second with one first-place vote and 56 points, and Oral Roberts earned the other first-place vote and came in third with 50 points. The complete poll appears below.

The native of Nakhonratchasima, Thailand appeared in all five events for the Mavericks in the fall, posting a team-leading stroke average of 71.7 which ranks fourth in the Summit. He tied a school record for lowest 54-hole score by shooting 206 at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational in October.
The Mavericks will open the spring season at The Joust at Goose Creek hosted by California Baptist on Feb. 24-25. The Summit League Championship will be held on May 3-5 at Newton, Kan.
