SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Sophomore Mandi Granato of the Omaha women's golf team has been named the Summit League Golfer of the Month for October.
It is the first weekly honor of her career.
Granato led the Mavericks in scoring in all three fall events, posting a stroke average of 77.1 through eight rounds. She finished in the top 10 in all three tournaments including two top-five finishes, one of which was a win at the Maverick Invitational at the Creek on Oct. 13.
She set career-bests at the home event, firing an opening round 72 (E) and finishing with a 228 (+12) total.
The Mavericks will resume play in the spring.
