Gardner Named Summit League Swimmer of the Week

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Freshman Caroline Gardner was named Summit League Swimmer of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Gardner was a member of two relay wins while picking up a pair of individual victories at the Jackrabbit Invite last weekend.
"Caroline has done a great job on making some changes and being growth-minded," said head coach Todd Samland. "It is exciting to see her put it together."
The Plymouth, Minn., native was a member of the winning 200 medley and 200 free relay teams that clocked times of 1:48.79 and 1:37.96, respectively.
Gardner won the 100 breast with a finish of 1:04.95 while clocking a 1:00.14 to win the 100 IM.
Omaha returns to action at the Summit League Championships on Wednesday-Saturday, Feb. 19-22 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
