SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Senior Witchayapat "Tiger" Sinsrang of the Omaha men's golf team has been named the Summit League Co-Golfer of the Week.
Sinsrang was the individual medalist at The Joust at Goose Creek hosted by California Baptist this week. He helped the Mavericks to their first tournament win since 2014, shooting a two-under 54-hole score of 208 to lead the 85-player field.
Sinsrang shares the honor with Western Illinois' Wyatt Spier who also was the individual medalist in the Leathernecks' win at the Alabama State Spring Kickoff.
The native of Nakhonratchasima, Thailand is the first Maverick to garner medalist honors since Kevin Gordon at the 2016 Summit League Championship.
It is Sinsrang's first weekly honor in the Summit League. He's the first Maverick to pick up the award since Ben Maskus in March of 2016.
The Mavericks return to action at the Sacramento State Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, March 2-3.
