SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Omaha swimming & diving team had a strong showing at the second day of the Jackrabbit Invite on Saturday, recording seven event victories on the final day of the two-day event in Sioux Falls, S.D.

The Mavericks had two relay wins and five individual victories.

The 200 medley relay team of Megan Latta, Caroline Gardner, Bethany Gatlin and Brook Landt placed first with a time of 1:48.79 while Abigail Mitchell, Alyssa Parsons, Lizzy Giese and Anna Capoun teamed up to finish third with a swim of 1:52.88.

Rachel Morrow, Landt, Giese and Capoun swam a 3:38.03 to win the 400 free relay. The group of Annie Leinart, Gatlin, Parsons and Mitchell clocked a 3:41.96 to place third.

Gardner recorded two victories on Saturday after swimming a 1:04.95 in the 100 breast and 1:00.14 in the 100 IM. Mitchell and Landt followed Gardner in the 100 IM with second and third-place finishes with times of 1:00.15 and 1:00.28, respectively.

Giese won the 1650 free with a finish of 18:11.12 while Gatlin and Leinart went back-to-back in the 200 free. Gatlin recorded a win with a swim of 1:56.63 and Leinart placed second with a time of 1:57.42.

Kady Eller posted a victory in the 3-meter dive with a score of 250.60 to lead Omaha in diving on the weekend.

In the 400 IM, Mallory Dickey clocked a 4:44.77 to garner a third-place finish.

Mitchell collected a runner-up placing in the 200 breast with a swim of 2:27.39.

The Mavericks return to action at the Summit League Championships on Wednesday-Sunday, Feb. 19-22 in Sioux Falls, S.D.
