BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The Omaha women's golf team is tied for 12th place after the first two rounds of the The Jackrabbit Invitational hosted by South Dakota State.
The Mavericks shot team scores of 332 and 341 over the first 36 holes for a total of 673, tying them with Toledo in the 14-team tournament. Host SDSU leads with a score of 601. Boston College is second at 607, and Oral Roberts is third at 614.
Zora Gittens leads the team in scoring and is tied for 34th with a score of 162. She shot scores of 79 and 83 on day one.
She's three strokes ahead of Mandi Granato who carded rounds of 81 and 84 for a score of 165, good for a tie for 48th.
Hannah Hunke, Izzi Puk and Samantha Chong are all tied for third on the team and 71st overall with scores of 174. Hunke and Puk each shot matching rounds of 87 while Chong went 85 and 89 over the first two rounds.
The final round begins at 10:30 a.m. CT from the Boulder Creek Golf Club.
