A Record-Setting Start
The Omaha women's tennis program was off to its best start in program history for the Division I era with a 10-4 record. The Mavericks ended the season winning four of its last five and saw several standout performances throughout the campaign.

Back-To-Back Honors For Lorentz
Junior Natalie Lorentz took the league by storm throughout the season with a pair of Summit League Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week honors on Feb. 4 and Feb. 11 of this year. Overall, Lorentz went 7-6 in singles and 9-5 in doubles action.

Gallegos Makes Impact In Debut Season
As a junior transfer from Florida Gulf Coast, Madison Gallegos totaled a 7-5 record overall in singles at the No. 1 and No. 2 marks. Gallegos saw her first-career dual win for the Mavericks in a three-set victory at No. 2 over Northern Iowa. She later picked up two-straight singles wins at No. 1 against Nebraska-Kearney and Saint Louis. Early in the season on Jan. 28, Gallegos picked up her first-career Summit League Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week honor.

Five-Straight Wins and Perfect From Home
From Jan. 31-Feb. 15, the Maverick women's tennis program picked up five-straight wins in non-conference play. Four of Omaha's five-straight wins were inside Miracle Hill Tennis Center during that span, as Omaha eventually improved to a perfect 5-0 mark at home after the 5-2 win over Northern Colorado on March 1.
At the time of five-straight wins..
- Omaha started 6-1 which marked the best in program history and best since 2008.
- Overcame a doubles point loss to later win the match in singles against Northern Illinois on Feb. 9.
- Improved to 4-0 at home.
- Defeated Kansas City for the first time in program history.
- Saw Natalie Lorentz earn back-to-back Summit League weekly awards.
