Mavericks Named CSCAA Scholar All-America Team

OMAHA, Neb. – The 2019-20 Omaha swimming & diving team was recognized as a Scholar All-America Team for Spring 2020 by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced Monday.
The Mavericks were one of the record 789 programs from 461 institutions chosen to the Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2020 semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their spring grade-point averages and represent 17,982 student-athletes.
"No team was unaffected by this spring's pandemic but Athletic Director Trev Alberts can and should be proud of their team and the work of head coach Todd Samland," said CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart.
With grading systems altered due to the semester affected by the pandemic, the CSCAA chose to not publish team grade-point averages.
The CSCAA Scholar All-America awards honor team academic excellence upon completion of the fall and spring semesters.
