
Mavericks Finish Fall Season At ODU

Powells Point, N.C.- The Omaha men's golf team ends the fall season with an 11th place finish at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate after the final round Tuesday.
The Mavericks finish with a team score of 873 through 54 holes. Georgetown takes third place with a team score of 846. Drexel is the runner up with 842, and Delaware wins the tournament with a team score of 839.
Josh Peters led the Mavericks with a three-round score of 212. The junior shot three-over in the final round and finished in a tie for 12th place on the leaderboard.
Kurtis Rodriguez shot four over in the final round and ended the tournament in a tie for 32nd. The freshman shot a total of 217 in the three-day tournament.
Senior Mathew Halvorson finished in a tie for 56th after shooting two-over on day three for a total score of 223.
Senior Noah Hartman tied for 67th on the leaderboard, shooting four-over in the final round for a total score of 227.
Christopher Atkinson finished with a total score of 230 after shooting one-over in the third round. The freshman tied for 78th overall.
The Mavericks' next invite will be in 2022. Omaha heads to the Joust at Goose Creek hosted by California Baptist Monday and Tuesday, February 21-22.
