Mavericks Announce 2021-22 Indoor Schedule

OMAHA, Neb. - Head track & field coach Chris Richardson has announced the 2021-22 indoor schedule. The Mavericks compete in eight meets across 10 days this winter and cap the indoor season at the Summit League Championships in Grand Forks, North Dakota in late February.
"We're always excited to come out and see what our athletes can do and begin to compete again," said Richardson. "By the time the season rolls around, they have put in months of training and they're anxious to step on the track, runway, apron or in the ring and get to work. I look forward to getting started in December."
The Mavericks opened 2021-22 action at South Dakota State in the SDSU Holiday Invite on Friday, Dec. 3. It marks their only meet before the new year.
Omaha then returns to action on Jan. 14-15 in Lincoln, Nebraska at the Graduate Classic hosted by the Huskers. January's action wraps up with a pair of invites on Jan. 22 and Jan. 29 hosted by SDSU and Minnesota.
The Mavericks open February competition at Northwest Missouri State on Friday, Feb. 4 for the Bearcat Invite and quickly turn around for the Dakota Realty Alumni Invite hosted by South Dakota on Saturday, Feb. 5.
On Feb. 11 and 12, the Mavericks travel for their third meet of the season in Brookings, South Dakota for the SDSU Indoor Classic. Regular season action then wraps up at the Nebraska Tune-Up on Friday, Feb. 18.
The Summit League Championships are slated for Friday, Feb. 25 and Saturday, Feb. 26 in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
