Mavericks Tie For 14th at Missouri State

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Omaha men's golf team finished in a tie for 14th place at the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate hosted by Missouri State on Tuesday.
The Mavericks finished the 54-hole tournament with a team tally of 305 to post a total of 902. That tied them with Northern Iowa. SIUE won with a score of 858. Wichita State was second at 861, and Valparaiso was third at 869.
Mathew Halvorson and Josh Bartels tied for the team scoring lead with three-round totals of 224. Halvorson posted a score of 79 in round three while Bartels had 73, the team's low round of the day. Both players tied for 56th in the field of 108 golfers.
Josh Peters was one stroke back at 225 for the event. He shot 78 in the third round and finished in a tie for 64th.
Noah Hartman was fourth on the team and tied for 85th overall with a total of 230 that included a final round of 75.
Jacob Zerby wrapped up the scoring for UNO with a final round of 80 for a total of 236.
The Mavericks have next week off before traveling to Western Illinois for the Beau Mussatto Invitational on Sunday and Monday, April 4-5.
