Gardner Named All-Summit in 100-Yard Breaststroke

SIUOX FALLS, S.D. – Caroline Gardner was named All-Summit Monday afternoon following the conference championships last weekend, the league announced. Gardner was Omaha's lone swimmer to medal over the weekend.
It marks her second career All-Summit honor.
The Plymouth, Minnesota native placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke to take home the bronze medal. She swam a time of 1:03.46 in the event, which is a season-best time for the sophomore this year.
"It was great to see Caroline get top three at conference again this year," said head coach Todd Samland. "It was a hard fought battle. It was a tight race throughout the whole event, so I was proud to see her compete at that high athletic level."
