SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Sydney Haynes represents the Omaha Swimming & Diving squad earning a spot on the Summit League Academic All-League Team, the league announced Monday. This marks the first career honor for Haynes.

The Waxhaw, North Carolina native boasts a 4.0 GPA in the classroom as she works towards her biology degree. Haynes previously earned a spot on the 2018-19 and 2019-20 Summit League Academic Honor Roll. She was also named to Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence in 2019-20.

In the pool, Haynes posted notable performances this season at the Midland Triangular, vs. Kansas, and at the Midland Midseason Invitational. At the Midland Triangular, Haynes finished second in the 1000-Free with a time of 11:25.77. She then posted a fifth place finish in the 500-Free with a time of 5:38.77.

Haynes swam the same two events vs. Kansas. In the 1000-Free, she finished fourth with a time of 11:14.68. She was Omaha's top finisher in the 500-Free with a time of 5:27.60 to finish fourth. In the Midland Midseason Invitational, Haynes placed second in the 500-Free and the 1650-Free. She also finished fourth in the 400-IM.
