NEW ORLEANS – Omaha track & field was named an All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Wednesday.
Omaha was one of 251 Division I teams to earn the honor. Collectively, the Mavericks posted a 3.51 grade-point average for the 2020-21 academic year. The Mavericks posted the highest GPA in program history with a 3.53 team GPA in the fall semester.
American University had the best cumulative GPA out of any Division I women's track & field program with a 3.8 GPA.
The Mavericks have been named an All-Academic Team by the USTFCCCA for the 10th straight season, taking them back to the start of their reclassification to Division I in 2011.
