Evans Completes Women's Swimming & Diving 2021-22 Roster

OMAHA, Neb. – Head swimming & diving coach Todd Samland completes the 2021-22 women's roster with the addition of Riley Evans. Evans signed in April and joins the previous 12 signees to make up the class.
"Riley will be adding some depth and power in our butterfly and backstroke events," said Samland. "We look for her to bring competitiveness into the 200 butterfly and 200 backstroke – both are potential Top Eight performances at our Conference Championships. She also has some good freestyle swims that we would like to see what she can bring to our program in our mid distance races."
At Oswego East, Evans earned All-American, All-State, and All-Conference honors. She was a sectional champion in the 100-Fly and qualified for state three times picking up second and third places honors. posted personal bests in the 100-Back (57.40), 200-Back (2:02.29), 100-Fly (57.33), 200-Fly (2:06.84), 200-Free (1:56.43), 500-Free (5:10.50), and 200-IM (2:12.63).
Evans also succeeded in the classroom. She earned high honor roll and Dean's List honors at IUPUI.
Evans joins 12 previous signees to the 2021-22 rosters. The full recruiting class includes Holly Bernardin, Payton Easley, Evans, Annika Horthoorn, Lydia Johnston, Sadie Khalil, Payton Krug, Heidi Lenarz, Hailey Matthews, Lilly Stafford, Gracie Streblow, Rylee Trojan, and Olivia Wassink.
