Men's Swimming & Diving Named A Scholar All-America Team

RICHMOND, Va. - The Omaha men's swimming & diving team earned CACAA Scholar All-America Team honors, the association announced earlier this week. It marks the first honor for the team in program history.
As a whole, the men's team posted a 3.146 GPA, while six Mavericks were named to the fall Dean's List and four to the fall Chancellor's List.
"Coach Samland continues to build a team the university can be proud of," said CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. "These 24 men are some of the best ambassadors that Omaha and the Summit League could ask for."
Omaha was one of seven teams to earn the honor for the first time.Â
Both the men's and women's swimming and diving programs are back in action this weekend with their final invitational of the regular season. Action begins Friday, Jan. 28 at 6 p.m. at the Coyote Invite.
