Mavericks Primed and Ready for Summit League Championships

The Omaha Mavericks Cross Country team looks to continue their solid season at the 2022 Summit League Championships tomorrow in Grand Forks, North Dakota at Ray Richards Golf Course.
"As we look at this meet, it should be a great opportunity for us as a team to make another step forward as a program," Mavericks head coach Cliff Cisar said. "We are running confidently because our team has successfully compounded a lot of great work over the course of the Fall. I know we are prepared, and I am ready to watch our team go out and compete."
It will be Omaha's third 6K race of the season. They are coming off a 4th place finish at the inaugural Platte River Rumble, two weeks ago in Omaha.
"Not often do you get a weather outlook in Grand Forks in late October to look as promising as it does for us this weekend. It's going to allow each runner to race at a certain level of comfort which should allow our conference to have a really spectacular and competitive meet," Cisar said.
