Boonbumroongsuk Named Golfer Of The Week

Omaha, Neb- Jinna Boonbumroongsuk has been named the Summit League's Golfer of the Week.
The sophomore from Bangkok, Thailand earns the first weekly honor of her career after an eighth-place finish at the Islander Classic hosted by Texas A&M-Corpus Christi earlier this week.
Boonbumroongsuk totaled a career-best 220 through three rounds in Texas, sinking birdies on eight of the 54 holes. She shot 72-77-71(E) and finished five strokes behind the champion, leading the team for the fourth-straight tournament dating back to the Stampede at the Creek last fall.
"Jinnna was a key contributer this fall," Assistant coach Victoria Grasso said. " She has continued to impress us with her play this spring. She worked hard this winder and it's nice to see that hard work paying off. We're excited to see what she does this season."
Jinna and the Mavericks are back in action at the Texas-Rio Grande Valley Invitational March 7-8.
