Mavericks Finish Final Fall Event in 11th

Powells Point, N.C.-- The Omaha men's golf team ended in 11th place after the final round of the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate on Tuesday, bringing the fall 2023-24 season to an end.Â
The Mavericks scored 295 in the third round, their best single round score of the 54-hole tournament. Omaha finished with a team-total of 899, one stroke behind 10th place Drake, and 18 strokes ahead of 12th place St. Bonaventure. Drexel won the 2023 ODU/OBX Intercollegiate with a team score of 854, and Drexel's Drue Nicholas won the event with a three-round total of 207.Â
Connor Wilson scored his best round of the season in round three on Tuesday. Wilson shot a 67 (-4), using six birdies and just two bogeys for a 54-hole total of 222. Wilson climbed 26 spots to end in a tie for 25th place after starting day three in 51st place on the individual leaderboard. Nolan Johnson was just three strokes behind Wilson, totaling 225 throughout the event. Johnson scored 77 (+6) in round three for a share of 35th place overall.Â
Josh Peters ended in a tie for 43rd place with a three-round total of 228. Peters recorded a 76 (+5) in the final round. Cristopher Atkinson finished a stroke behind Peters with a total of 229 over 54 holes. Atkinson scored 80 (+9) in round three for a share of 45th place. Austin Goodrum scored 75 (+4) on the final day for his best round of the tournament. Goodrum tied for 62nd with a total score of 237.Â
