Drake Garners Third TicketSmarter Peak Performer of the Week

Omaha, Neb.-- Omaha's Darby Drake garnered her third TicketSmarter Diver of the Week honors, as announced by the Summit League Tuesday afternoon.
"Darby really dove well over the weekend and competed with purpose against some tough competition," said diving coach Eric Sprague. "The Huskers have been one of the better diving programs in the country over the last few decades and watching Darby go dive-for-dive against them was fun. Finishing just two-tenths out of first place on one-meter was bittersweet for Darby, but the experience over the weekend provided us some valuable lessons. The whole team should be more confident because of their performances starting the previous weekend in Carbondale and concluding with the competition versus Nebraska on Saturday."
Drake had a second place finish in the 1-meter diving portion of the meet. She finished with a 281.00 final score, just .20 points off from the first place finish. In the 3-meter event Drake had a fourth place finish with a 280.05 final score.
Darby and the Mavericks will return to action on Dec. 1 at home for their first Summit League meet against South Dakota State.
