Clements, Matthews Earn All-Summit During Day Three Action

The Maverick women continue to sit in fourth place, while the men are in fifth place with one more day of action.
Friday's action started with a sixth-place finish by Carina Monroe in the 400-IM. She swam a time of 4:32.12. Heidi Lenarz grabbed eighth with a time of 4:35.16.
Annika Harthoorn also finished eight for the Mavericks in the 100-fly and a time of 56.20.
Clements earned second and an All-Summit nod for the men in the 100-fly. He posted a time of 47.46. AJ Swibold also placed in the top-10 with a time of 49.30 in the event.
In the next event, Omaha saw another top-three finish. This time Matthews took third for the Mavericks with a time of 1:49.90 in the 200-free. Parker Hagemann joined her in the top-10 with an eighth-place finish.
Caroline Gardner was the Maverick women's top finisher in the 100-breast with a time of 1:03.00 for seventh place. Annie Leinart wrapped up the top-10 with a time of 1:04.62.
For the men, Amir Haviv led the pack in the men's 100-breast. He placed seventh with a time of 54.66. Gracie Streblow followed up with a ninth place finish and a time of 55.60 in the 100-back.
In the men's 100-back, Mason Schroeder took fifth with a time of 49.01.
The women's diving action wrapped up with the three-meter finals. Holly Bernardin was Omaha's top placer with a score of 218.80. She placed eighth in the event.
"Our women wrapped up another season this evening, and I'm incredibly proud of the group we have here," said diving coach Eric Sprague. "Holly made it into finals again for us, and she continues to impress me with her improvement and hard work.
"Kady Eller, Samantha Klein, and Bella Price scored valuable points for us this week also in both semi-final events. Samantha and Bella accomplished this as freshmen and watching them continue to progress will be fun the next few years. Kady had her final performance as a Maverick today, and her commitment and dedication to diving has been a pleasure to be a part of the last four years. She has been a large part of the team's growth the last four years, and I will always be grateful and appreciative for her choosing to dive in Omaha."
The men took fifth with a time of 3:16.12. Schroeder, Haviv, Clements, and Owen Hoak competed for the Mavericks.
The Summit League Championships conclude Saturday. Prelims begin at 10 a.m. followed by finals at 5:30 p.m.
